and a name Maxsted. Research shows The "Maxsted's" were once the owners of Brantinghamthorpe hall.
This oil on canvas is very much in the manner of One of the finest portrait painters of the 17th/18th century, Sir Godfrey Kneller (1646-1723).

The portrait is in excellent condition ready to hang
The overall size being 136cm x 162cm high ( 53 x 63 inches approx)
whilst the painting is 100cm by 125.5cm high (39.5 x 49 inches high approx) depth 12cm (approx 4.5 inches)
