Hallmarked for London 1759 and maker's mark for Benjamin Cartwright I, additionally initialled to the handles.
It measures 12.7cm (5") high, 17.8cm (7") across the handles and 10cm (3 7/8") rim to rim. It weighs a substantial 413g/13.3 ozt.

Condition is good for age with some small repairs: the handle to the right of the crest shows signs of work where it joins the cup at the upper terminal and the handle to the left has been reattached at the lower terminal and has 2 small solder repairs to the side of the handle itself. No dents or current damage and surface wear is light and appropriate for age; the hallmarks are lovely and clear. A smart piece for use or display.
