Edwardian Sheraton Style Writing Table

1900 - 1920
Description

An inlaid Sheraton revival ladies writing table/ desk . The top having a superstructure with concave falls both with oval flame mahogany inlays outlined in boxwood with brass galleries above. The 2 small drawers fitted with a pen tray to one side with ink wells and paper clip holders to the other. The writing surface with a re-placed hand dyed green leather which has traditional blind and gold tooling. The larger drawers having mahogany linings, brass handles and working locks and keys. Standing on square tapering legs with brass casters and the whole inlaid with rosewood crossbanding between boxwood and ebony lines and further boxwood outline stringing. Sizes:- Height...36''/ 91.5cm. Width...36''/ 91cm. Depth...20''/ 51cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £48.
