A beautiful quality Victorian fruit or desert dish retaining it's wonderful original cut crystal insert, intact and without damage. The rim of the glass is fluted with decorative cutting and the underside have a star-cut design,

The unusual and grand stand is made from English silver plate with beautiful handles, decorative feet and an all-round pierced or reticulated design. The underside is fully marked for the silversmith, Thomas Wilkinson and Sons (Founded by Thomas Wilkinson in 1832. Active at Pelican Works with the trade mark 'Pelican Ware'. In 1840 the firm was active at High Street, Sheffield advertising as "By Special Appointment to Her Majesty".).

Excellent condition spanning 11 1/2" handle to handle; the rim of the dish measuring 9" in diameter and standing 3 1/2" tall.
