George III Mahogany Serpentine Chest of Drawers

Description

A superb George III mahogany chest of drawers of serpentine form. This is a splendid chest, with elegant lines and of fine quality construction and of generous proportions. Finely made in solid mahogany, now with a wonderful mellow colour and patina. The serpentine shaped top is edged with ebony inlay. There is an arrangement of 3 short over 3 long , graduated drawers, offering ample storage capacity. The drawers are cock-beaded and are all fitted with their original brass handles and bone escutcheons. The whole chest stands on refined swept bracket feet. This lovely , elegant chest is offered for sale in excellent original condition, ready to go straight into the home.
