London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1700s.
The stiles have unusual lower reeding rising into opposed fluting detail with the muntins half fluted, arched at the top.

The upper rail is decorated with carved reciprocating foliate lunettes around a central iron lock and clasp with key absent. The end panels and rear are plain as one would expect.
A two plank, chamfered top overhangs the carcass and lifts on iron strap hinges to reveal generous storage within complete with candle box.

The oak has a warm finish in deep russet tones with the stiles and rails of stout stock making for a strong and sturdy piece.
A super example of it's type, delivered waxed polished and ready for the home.
