A Goncalo Alves Late Regency Period Fold Over Card Table.

Description

A Goncalo Alves Late Regency Period fold over card table. Having a rectangular top veneered in beautifully figured goncalo alves, turning to reveal storage for cards, counters etc. The top opens to reveal a baize lined playing surface with goncalo alves banding. The whole supported on four elegant lappet carved columns united by a turned and carved stretcher, with swept supports to the ends and having the original cast brass anthemion socket castors. English circa 1830

Dimensions: 36" wide x 18" deep x 30" high

Condition: This table is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
