Description

Lovely pair of George V silver cafe au lait/chocolate pots with side facing carved walnut handles. Elegant lines with pretty art nouveau detailing in curved caps to the top of the spouts and beaded ridge up the underside of the spouts. Curved scrolls form the thumb rests and then reeding and fluting around the base and lids with small pagoda shape finials. Hallmarked for London 1913 with maker's mark for renowned silversmith William Comyns & Sons.

They measure 7" high and 4 1/2" by 4" wide and weigh 620g/19.9ozt. Condition is very good: there is a small loss to the end of the hinge of one and just one or two tiny dints. Light and appropriate surface wear for age and use, hallmarks are a little rubbed to one.
