Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The three rectangular oak lined frieze drawers with ormolu circular handles and applied ormolu mounts. The right hand pedestal with four oak lined drawers again with circular ormolu ring handles, the left hand pedestal has a mahogany panelled door with geometric mouldings and applied ormolu roundels. The door opens to reveal oak file divisions. The partners side also having twin panelled mahogany doors with ormolu mounts and again opens to reveal file divisions and having "dummy" drawers to the frieze. The whole supported on eight elegant mahogany square tapering supports. Superb quality mahogany used throughout with high quality oak linings. French circa 1900

Condition: This desk is is excellent original condition, cleaned and wax. Wear to leather commensurate with age and use.
