A Rare Pair of Georgian Silver Gilt Condiment Trays with Spoons.

A rare pair of silvers condiment dishes from the Georgian Regency period and made by the great John Emes. These splendid examples have oval bodies with reeded rims and an engraved monogram. There is a reserve that has been gilded to protect from salt and acid foodstuffs when in use. The dishes are fully hallmarked and are here offered with silver condiment spoons from the same period. The spoons have the additional benefit of being early Birmingham hallmarks which are rather rare.

These fine Regency pieces make an attractive addition to a well laid table. Ideas for use are condiments or sauces, such as mint, cranberry, mayonnaise etc.
