Description

Lovely 17th century provincial country oak panel bed. Oak panels have pit sawn and adze marks in the backs of the panels; see last pictures. Lovely naive carvings of oak leaves and acorns in headboard. Beautiful patina within the ancient timbers. This bed may have been constructed in Victorian times as the capping strip and castors are of that era. A delightful piece of one off history. Suitable for standard double mattress size 4'6" x 6'3".

Head board height 130cm; foot board height 102cm; side rail height 35.5cm.

Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress)
