Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The total carat weight is approximately 2.5cts. It also has diamonds to the shoulders which are articulated at one point.
The design is very much of the Art Deco period - very stylish and elegant.
The dial has been professionally restored so is in absolutely perfect condition with steel peacock blue hands. It also retains its original Swiss made solid 18ct white gold mesh bracelet and clasp.
The case is of course marked platinum and has the Swiss Chamois Goat hallmark.
It is quite stunning, a new glass has been fitted and the case professionally cleaned and polished so it is absolutely pristine.
As you would expect from Vertex the watch is fully marked movement.
Vertex are one of the most exclusive makers in the world during the 1930s and this watch certainly has that understated elegance which resonates class.
The watch case is large and measures 22mm in diameter not including the crown. The length of the whole diamond case and shoulders is 46mm
Overall this watch is simple stunning and was obviously extremely well cared for, it would certainly make a perfect gift for any lady especially when worn with that little black dress.
The watch has just been fully overhauled, restored and serviced and is guaranteed to be a genuine Vertex in all respects.
This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled by the Omega watch specialist Alan Williams FBHI, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then thoroughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and the watch sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.
