Rare 17th Century Wainscott Chair

Description

A Very Good Early Wainscott chair in Oak Probably Yorkshire in Origin with superb all original carving to the back. Unusually the seat has a rope seat and with no signs of it ever having had a wood seat, although the holes for the rope have been enlarged slightly to take the modern rope now used. There is a brand mark TM to the back of the chair. A very original chair with a good colour and patina.
