Description

A good large mid-19th century Victorian mahogany WRITING BOX in particularly good original condition.

Constructed of well-figured brass-bound mahogany, this fine slope opens to reveal the original gilt-tooled green leather morocco writing surface; pair of excellent ink bottles; various compartments and a long drawer within the base.

Under the writing surface, the interior is lined with pristine mahogany and there are three secret drawers well-hidden from view. 20ins wide; 11ins deep; 7.5ins high. (51 x 28 x 19cms)
