Large Inlaid Backgammon Set ~ Ivory Pieces

Description

A very good large mid-19th century BACKGAMMON SET complete with full set of 30 pieces; carved ivory shakers and (modern) dice.

The board is large (21.5ins square); is hinged and opens to form the large chess & draughts board outside. The inside reveals the fine backgammon board, with ivory and ebony inlaid 'points', whilst the pieces are of turned white and red-stained ivory. A very good practical set, complete with (modern) rule book.
