Very fine Georgian, solid silver and beautifully proportioned cream/sauce jug. The jug has an unusually shaped handle (see photos), and sits on four ball feet. There is a very small engraving of a fish on one side of the jug just beneath the pouring lip. Clear hallmarks and maker''s marks are visible on the base of the jug: London 1809 by Alice & George Burrows.
