Antique Persian Kurdish Hamadan Double Ended Prayer Rug. Circa 1890

Description

Rare antique Persian tribal Kurdish Hamadan double ended prayer rug with mirabs at both ends. The central blue field with repeating motifs and with multiple geometric borders. All wool construction. Lovely soft vegetable colours. Though there is some wear in places there are no repairs or holes. This is a most unusual and rare rug.
