Description

Handsome 19th.c. oak part glazed bookcase c. 1870. Gothic Revival style with a lovely golden oak colour and featuring scratched carved detail, arched panels to the oak doors, and plenty of carved decorative detail including corbels featuring lion heads. Interestingly, there are also narrow oak panels on the front with the names of famous writers and poets. The glass doors have carved drapes around the top edges. There are two adjustable shelves in the top section and a fixed shelf in the bottom cupboard which also has two drawers. The top and bottom sections come apart to help when moving. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
