Elmgarden has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The cupboard is made in beautiful dark mahogany with charming natural history paintings in the panels, the birds in the paintings seem to be a Male and Female Crane
The paintings are oil on gesso and original to the piece, there are signs that there were other pictures on the sides of the cupboard but these are barely visible now
The Chiffonier is 52” tall, 16” deep and 36” wide
