The size of the painting including the gilt frame is 56cm x 46 cm( 22 x 18 inches)
approx. whilst the picture is 33cm x 25.5 cm (13 x 10 inches approx.)
In overall very good condition ,
the canvas has been relined ,cleaned and some minor restoration.
There are a number of self coloured small losses to the composite frame
provenance.The painting has graced the drawing room of beckfoot hall.
Julius Caesar Ibbetson (29 December 1759 – 13 October 1817)
was a British 18th-century landscape and watercolour painter.
From 1785 he exhibited landscapes, genre scenes and portraits at the Royal Academy
