Description

A fine and beautifully constructed, solid mahogany throughout, sixteen drawer collectors cabinet by janson, a well known supplier of cabinets and natural history items in the latter part of the 19th century and early 20th.

This cabinet was originally designed for the protection and display of an insect collection but will lend itself admirably to many other collectables and as a 'family archive' for objects and papers significant in any family history collection.

All the drawers are constructed to the highest level and contain a universal hidden cell around the inside perimeter. All fitted with closely fitting glazed frames to protect and keep 'dust free' the chosen contents.

Front to back. 19.75 inches.

Drawers.

Width. 18 inches.

Front to back. 16.25 inches.

Overall depth. 2 inches. (imperial)
