Antique Silver Condiment Suite.

19th century
Description

Wonderful French silver and etched glass condiment suite; comprising of an oil and vinegar cruet and a pair of double salt cellars. The oil and vinegar glass bottles are beautifully etched/engraved with a pattern which matches the stand, and the stoppers are silver mounted in the same pattern. The two pairs of double-salts are identical to the oil and vinegar frame. Each of the three frames is of circular form with the interiors of the bowls gilded, each has a central carrying handle of foliate design and stands on leaf design feet ; each stand has matching strapwork to the bowls. Just fabulous quality and gauge of silver. Top class maker/retailers, and possibly the greatest " fish and chip" set ever! You will not find a more elegant thing to enhance your dining table.

Paris. Maillard Freres & Vazou. c.1900 ( this maker only used this mark between 1897 and 1903)
