An absolutely wonderful, very fine, Victorian, Photograph/Carte de Visite Album. The album is beautifully bound in leather showing exquisite craftmanship; the same design both front and back. On the side is a lovely spring-loaded clasp that works perfectly and gold leaf surrounds the outside edge of each page. When opened both the inside front cover and inside back cover are decorated with foliage and leaf swags in gold on a deep crimson background. The second page has a lovely illustration of a Pageboy holding a banner with the words'' Album'' written across it. Each of the subsequent pages have frames to place photographs into. Rare to find an album of this kind in such great condition.
Condition: This album is in excellent condition for the age. Each frame is in great order and the leather binding is not marked or stained.
