An excellent example of a typical Arts and Crafts-era solid sterling silver water jug or ewer.
Clearly hallmarked on the side for Birmingham 1939, with the maker''s mark of Albert Edward Jones (later AE Jones Ltd).
A simple classically styled heavy jug, with hammered finish. The handle is securely attached and the base stands on a central pedestal. The silver is in excellent condition.
