Art Deco Silver Match Book Case. London 1934 Mappin & Webb.

Fine and stylish Art Deco, solid silver, Match Book Case. The design on the front of the case is typically deco (see photos) with two geometric pyramid shapes on either end of the case and has an engine turned finish to both the front and the back. When the button of the case is pressed the lid opens to reveal a gilt interior and clearly visible hallmarks: London 1934 and maker''s marks: Mappin & Webb.
Condition: The case is in great used condition. There are a few minor scratches to the outside surface only to be expected with the age of the items and mentioned for accuracy, There is some minor marking to the gilt interior to the area around the opening clip.

Height: 6.5cm approx.
Width: 4.7cm aqpprox.
Depth: (at widest point:) 1.0cm approx.
Weight: 38g approx.
