Handsome Antique English Biscuit Box by Boardman and Glossop C.1860

Description

A very elegant Victorian biscuit box made from silverplate with a full mark on the underside for the Sheffield silversmith, Boardman and Glossop dating it to c.1860.

The box stands on four large original spherical feet and the base and box decorated with an attractive border. The top is crowed with the most wonderful figural finial with a Deer standing on a naturalistic base.

Excellent condition, measuring 8 3/4" x 6 3/4" x 9" tall to top of finial.
