Description

A gents 1920s Baume & Co silver wrist watch.

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement, Swiss made, which is working well.

The watch itself measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London (import mark), 1922, with a sponsor's (or importer's) mark for Alfred Baume. As well as supplying watches under the Baume name, the company were also the UK importers of Longines watches. The case is in good condition with just some unevenness to the hinged back.

The lens is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has a hairline crack running from number X down to the sub seconds dial but otherwise is in good condition.

A later black leather strap has been fitted.
