A very rare example of thomas gurney's work this is a mahogany 12 drawer entomological cabinet. I know of three of this kind two of which have passed through my hands and this is the third.

Thomas gurney, one of the finest london cabinet makers of the 19th century made beautiful collectors cabinets to a very high standard. This 12 drawer example is no exception to the rule. Finely figured mahogany and showing all the gurney traits including the gilded plate to the door and turned ebony knobs.
