Gents 1950s Smiths Astral Watch, Made in England

Description

A gents 1950s Smiths Astral wrist watch, Made in England.

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is plated with a stainless steel back. There is a little marking to the plate but all very acceptable for a 1950s piece.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has its original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There are some scratches to the dial.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
