19th Century French Porcelain Mounted Mantle Clock

Description

An attractive mid/late 19th century French ormolu MANTLE CLOCK of compact size and in fine order.

The ormolu case, which retains its good original gilding, is very pretty with its urn surmount; half-Corinthian columns to both sides; "Sevres" porcelain panels to the front and good ormolu feet.

The 8-day movement strikes (very prettily) hours and half-hours on a bell, whilst the enamel dial and Breguet blued steel "moon" hands are both original and perfect. Guaranteed at least two years. 13ins high (max); 8ins wide; 5ins deep front-to-back
