Solid Silver Pot Pourri Box by William Comyns 1906

A wonderful quality rare and unusual POT POURRI BOX made from English sterling silver by the renowned London silversmith, William Comyns.

The base of the box has an embossed or repousse Art Nouveau inspired garland running around its circumference. The top has a superbly pierced or reticulated design of a wedding scene with a coach and horses and the interior of the box has a vibrant gilt coating. The lid fits well and the 5 bar hinge are in very good condition. The box is in excellent condition with virtually no wear visible.

This is a high quality item made from good gauge silver and would make a superb addition to anyone's collection or a really special gift for someone.
