Georgian Oak Bureau. Circa 1770

18th century
Description

Fine quality George III oak and mahogany banded North Wales bureau fitted with two short and three long oak lined drawers and standing on bracket feet. Oak back. Has the most amazing shaped and stepped interior with central cupboard and numerous drawers and pigeon holes. Also with secret drawer each side (see image). Lovely fretted brass handles. All in fine original condition except a few cock-bead repairs. Wonderful honey colour with exceptional waxed patina.

Size; 40" wide, 40" high, 20" deep. Fall 29" high open.
