Description

Superb quality late 19th.c. mahogany combination wardrobe and press c.1880. Breakfronted, the centre section fitted with sliding shelves over a chest of three drawers of graduated depth. Flanked on each side with full length hanging space, the right hand side having a shoe box bellow a sliding shelf in the base, both retaining their original sliding hanging rail and hooks. Original arch top bevelled full length dressing mirror to the centre door. Raised and fielded panels to the side door with a raised moulding. Good flared cornice, fluted sides with crisp carved detail, quality mahogany veneers to the doors laid onto solid mahogany groundwork. Solid mahogany sides and drawer linings. Excellent condition, original knobs, latches and handles. Splits into three sections plus cornice and plinth for ease of delivery.
