A Rare Glasgow Early Victorian Silver Cream Ladle

Description

A wonderful hallmarked silver cream ladle from early in the reign of Queen Victoria. This superb example is in double struck (pattern front and back) Kings pattern, with a fine armorial to the top front. It is a lovely gauge of silver and heavy in weight. With so much flatware melted for scrap, this is a rare find and a practical and usable piece for today. Also available in a separate listing is a matching gravy/ sauce ladle of the same pattern, date, assay office and maker. Item number SA414744
