Antique Sterling Silver Letter Opener - Scottish Thistle - 1909

Description

A wonderful petite letter opener with a steel blade, stamped "Steel". The decorative handle is made from English sterling silver hallmarked for Birmingham 1909, Edwardian in era; the makers initials are also present for the well renowned silversmith, Adie and Lovekin.

The terminal is beautifully cast and engraved to form a Scottish Thistle set with a carved and polished Cairngorm stone.

Excellent condition (marks to steel blade), measuring 5 1/4" in length.
