Description

A 19th Century Brass Door Porter, Door Stop.

The door porter with a loop handle, with a rope twist top, enveloped by leaves which rise up from the leaf cast shank. The base formed as a lions paw with hairy ankle, above the claws. The interior of the base with lead loading.

Very nice original patination.

Date c 1840.

Height 15 1/2 inches, width 4 1/2 inches, depth 3 1/2 inches.
