The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch itself measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was made by the American Watch Case Company. The case is in lovely condition and the engine turned detail to the back is still nice and crisp.
This eliminated the joint between the case back and body that would otherwise be susceptible to leakage. To access the movement, a screw-on bezel is attached to the front of the case and the movement, held in place by a hinge connected to the inner wall of the case body, can be pivoted forward.

The watch glass is in good condition with just some nibbles to the edge, only about a 1cm strip.
The white enamel dial is in good order and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
