C19th French bronze ''animalier'' study of an ''English pointer'' in the manner of Pierre Jules Mene. Finely cast study of a male pointer depicted in characteristic alert pose mounted on a naturalistic rectangular plinth base.
Excellent detail conveying the power ,intelligence and agility of the breed, with defined musculature and anatomical correctness. Realistically modelled coat and well-detailed head features and paws.
Good consistent patination and colour . Original untouched condition , the tail having been cast separately and joined to the body .
