Victorian Back to Back Pony Trap, 4 Wheeled Horse Drawn Carriage
This is a very fine quality piece made by Cheverton on The Isle of Wight Carriage makers to Queen Victoria at Osborne House, this charming little Pony Trap is in very good Condition painted in Green and Yellow livery with Brass trim
The wooden wheels and shafts are in yellow, and the upholstery is in Black, the back of the cart drops down for easy access of the rear facing passengers and there is room for 2 on the front seat.
This charming trap is in very good condition, it has been housed indoors and still has the original Candle lit Carriage lamps and is very usable or would make an attractive focal point with an excellent history
The shafts are 31” between and 79” long, the trap is 171” long including the shafts, 60” wide at the widest point and the large wheels are 44” in diameter
