The lower section having a "double" secretaire drawer with a fitted interior and retaining the original brass swan neck handles, above twin panelled doors which open to reveal two mahogany lined drawers and sliding folio shelves. The whole supported on turned bun feet. Although not stamped this bookcase is very much is the style of Gillows Of Lancaster, constructed using the finest Cuban Mahogany throughout. English circa 1800

Condition: This bookcase is in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed. A replacement lock to the secretaire drawer.
