An Antique Key-winding Pocket Watch with Chain

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique key-winding pocket watch with chain.

The watch has a key-winding movement which is working nicely and keeping good time to within around three minutes over 24 hours. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case nickel and it is in good condition with just some unevenness to the case back.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has a short hairline at number IX and a chip just above the centre but otherwise looks good with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes on a nickel chain which measures 27cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
