Albert Dillens was born in Antwerp in 1844 and attended the Royal Academy of Brussels and Antwerp. He was commissioned to do portraits of King Leopold I and II and their wives. He as paintings in the Museum of Ostend and is listed in Benezit, Arto, Piron etc and has achieved high prices at auction - 4800 euros.
