Silver Perfecta Pocket Watch, Albert and Vesta

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique silver Perfecta pocket watch, double albert and vesta.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely and keeping good time to within around three minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Perfecta and it is all protected by an inner hinged cover which is also signed Perfecta and has details of medals won. Perfecta was a brand name used by Meyer Fils & Cie from La Chaux de Fonds, registered in 1898.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Swiss hallmarks inside both of the case backs, together with the Perfecta name. The case has a little unevenness to the hinged back but overall the condition is fairly good.

The acrylic lens is in good order with just a small 3mm patch of marking.

The white enamel dial has some faint hairline cracks and a small chip at the centre of the sub seconds dial. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a silver double albert, hallmarked for 1916. Each chain measures 25cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

Also included is an Edwardian silver vesta case, hallmarked for 1903.

In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
