A Silver 1930 Buren Pocket Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A silver 1930 Buren pocket watch.

The watch has a signed stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Chester 1930 with a maker's mark for Smith, Ewen & Stylic Ltd (who were actually based in Birmingham). The case has a minor indentation to the back but overall is in good condition.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The white enamel dial is in lovely condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
