Hobson May Collection has dated this piece to the 1850s.
There is some minor wear to some of the painted areas, but this is very minor and the overall condition is good. The colours 'zing' out of the original mahogany frames, as the images are painted onto glass, they have a wonderful luminous quality. Published by J.Fairburn, London - this pair of chrystoleums have a huge decorative appeal.
