A Victorian Lamp

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a late Victorian/early 20thC heavy brass candlestick that was converted to electricity some time ago, and we have had rewired to UK specifications.

It has a lovely octagon shaped base which is reflected in the top part holding the light, and a decorative central column.

The light measures 32cm to the base of the lamp holder, and 37cm including the electrical fitting. The base is approximately 16.5cm in width.

It is solid brass and weighs 2kgs - reflecting the quality. The lamp takes a single, standard bayonet lightbulb, and it has been polished, but not lacquered.
