Silver Half Hunter Pocket Watch, Chain and Swivel

A silver half hunter pocket watch, chain and swivel.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is high grade and has a snail cam regulator, a good sign of quality.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside all three covers for Birmingham 1911 with a maker’s mark for the English based watch case maker Aaron Dennison.

The blue enamel Roman numerals surrounding the small glass lens to the front are a particularly handsome feature. The case is in good condition with just a couple of minor indentations. The case back has exquisite initials, either AS or SA.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a acrylic lens which is in good condition. The enamel dial is in good condition and has blued steel hands including the special half hunter hour hand so that it can be identified when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes with a silver chain which measures 32cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The chain is unhallmarked but has tested as being silver. There is also a shorter section of chain which has a swivel on the end.
