1920s Vertex Gold Plated Pocket Watch and Chain

Description

A vintage 1920s Vertex pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a signed Swiss stem-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is goods.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The gold plated case was made by the English based watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case has light surface marks from use but otherwise it is in nice condition. The inner dust cover has the name of a previous owner scratched on it lightly.

The acrylic lens is in nice condition.

The dial has faint hairline cracks but otherwise it is in nice condition. Original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a single chain which measures 21cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
