Description

Late 19th.c. English Arts & Crafts copper stick or umbrella stand c.1890. Copper body with a hammered or repoussé decoration of long pointed spade motifs running the full height. With applied crenelated borders to the top and base. Original and untouched condition, age having weathered the body to a fine verdigris. Clear maker’s stamp to the underside for the Birmingham company William Soutter & Sons.
