The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega name.
The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is nielloware which is a black mixture of copper, silver, and lead sulphides, used as an inlay on engraved or etched metal, in this case 800 silver. There is some wear to the niello, and some pitting, particularly to the back.
The plastic lens is in good order.
The signed white enamel dial has lovely ornate hands which were favoured by the Scandinavians around 1900. There is some damage to the centre of the sub seconds dial and a couple of faint hairline cracks.
